<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a character-inputting device which facilitates abbreviation input without enlarging a dictionary data volume. <P>SOLUTION: An input predicting part 30 presents, to a user, conversion candidates respectively for two character strings inputted through an inputting part 10, according to the user's instructions, and makes the user select a conversion candidate through the inputting part 10. On the basis of the selected candidate, a deletion determination part 50 detects deletable characters according to a preliminarily set deletion rule and presents, to the user, the conversion candidate, in which the deletable characters are deleted, to receive an input request from the user. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
