<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake device capable of accurately detecting a braking time of a brake pedal by a brake switch. <P>SOLUTION: A switch body 71 of the brake switch 7 is fixed to a mounting part 81 provided at a lower end of a bracket 8, a switch 72 is operated by an operation part 52 provided on a clevis 5, and the brake switch 7 is turned on/off by a displacement amount relative to the bracket 8 of the clevis 5.
