PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state imaging apparatus equipped with an AD converter for detecting the traveling position of a pulse delayed in accordance with a pixel signal and converting the pixel signal into a digital value, which can be miniaturized in obtaining a digital signal of the difference between the output of a light-shielding pixel and the output of a light-receiving pixel. SOLUTION: The solid-state imaging apparatus includes: a pixel array 3 consisting of the light-shielding pixel 2 and the light-receiving pixel 1; a delay circuit 111 in which delay elements for imparting a delay quantity corresponding to the difference between an analog output value and an analog reference value per pixel are coupled in multiple stages; a counter circuit 112 for sampling the traveling positions of the pulses per predetermined timing and decoding the pulses and allowing its reset per pixel unit; a first latch circuit 115 for holding the count value corresponding to the light-shielding pixel; a second latch circuit 116 for holding the count value corresponding to the light-receiving pixel; and an adder 117 for calculating the difference between the output from the first latch circuit and the output from the second latch circuit and outputting the calculated difference as a digital image signal.
