<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell capable of exhibiting excellent power generation performance even to the low air stoichiometric ratio, and provide a fuel cell system using its fuel cell, in the fuel cell system of a direct water injection type. <P>SOLUTION: This invention is constituted so that an air electrode includes a reaction layer abutting on one surface of a solid high polymer electrolyte membrane and a plate-like conductive porous body arranged on a surface on the opposite side of the solid high polymer electrolyte membrane in its reaction layer in a state of being electrically connected to the reaction layer. Thus, a probability of contacting respective droplets in direct injection water with a conductive net material, becomes higher than a probability of contacting with a wall surface of a groove-shaped air flow passage in a conventional unit cell. As a result of it, evaporation efficiency of the direct injection water in the air electrode can be improved, and even when operating by reducing the air stoichiometric ratio, the excellent power generation performance can be exhibited. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
