The pouch has two side walls (5, 7) connected with one another under retention of an insertion opening (11) at an insertion edge (9a) for insertion of a disk-shaped data storage unit e.g. compact disk. A guiding element (15) is arranged between the side walls. The data storage unit is guided via the insertion opening in a direction transverse to an insertion direction in a receiving position by the element during insertion into the pouch. The pouch is formed from a folded bend, and is made of a material such as paper and cardboard. A suspension bracket is provided at a side edge (9c). An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a plug-in pouch for storage of a disk-shaped data storage unit.
