The invention discloses diverse methods for supporting emergency communications in a wireless access system supporting a relay system.  As one embodiment of the invention, an emergency communications support method in a wireless access system may comprise: establishing an emergency communication route among one of the base station (BS), relay station (RS) or femto base station (FBS), a first mobile station (E-MS) in emergency mode and one or more second mobile stations (N-MS) being neighbors to the first mobile station; allocating a first resource region for emergency communications of the first mobile station; transmitting information about the first resource region allocation to at least one of the first and second mobile stations; and receiving emergency data through the first resource region.
