The magazine (10) has a connection unit (19) comprising an opening for a passage of rod-shaped products (17) from a shaft tray (11) into a channel (23). The opening is opened and closed by a closure unit, and an element (26) supporting evacuation of the products is arranged at a region of the channel. The element is formed as a container-like lead element at the region of the channel, where the lead element accommodates the products. An inlet opening of the lead element turned towards the tray is larger than a breadth of a shaft (16) of the shaft tray. An independent claim is also included for a method for serial emptying of shafts filled with rod-shaped products, of shaft trays.
