METHOD TO PREVENT CORROSION DEGRADATION USING NI-METAL OR NI-ALLOY PLATING

PURPOSE: A method for preventing corrosion and degradation using Ni-metal or Ni-alloy plating is provided to increase atomic power plant operation rate and service life of a heat pipe of a steam generator. CONSTITUTION: Ni- metal or Ni- alloy plating is performed on the inside or outside surface of a heat pipe of a steam generator. The heat pipe of the steam generator is manufactured by expanding the heat pipe in which the inside and outer surface is plated. The pipe-expanding is made through mechanical expanding, explosion or water pressure. Erosive damage is pitting, wastage, stress corrosion cracking or lead organic stress corrosion cracking.
