PURPOSE: A composition containing Angelica keiskei extract or a compound isolated from the extract is provided to prevent and treat vascular diseases and ensure effect of suppressing blood clot. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating vascular diseases contains Angelica keiskei extract or 4-hydroxydericin isolated from the extract as an active ingredient. The extract is isolated from leaves, stems or roots of the Angelica keiskei. The extract is crude extract of the Angelica keiskei extract, polar solvent soluble extract or non polar solvent soluble extract.
