PURPOSE: A system and method for searching local information is provided to perform local information searching by various keywords and Geo-Coding DB. CONSTITUTION: The contents and the geographical information related to the contents are input. The contents and geographical information are stored in the Geo-Coding DB(200). The contents including the region search keyword is searched from the Geo-Coding DB if the region search keyword is inputted from the user terminal(100-1). The list of the searched contents is provided to the user terminal. The map date is provided to the user terminal related to the selected contents if one content is selected among the user terminal of the list of the searched contents.
