<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of driving a solenoid switch used for an image forming device with saved power more than ever. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This image forming device 1 includes conveying means 5, 6 and 30 for conveying a medium to be recorded, a power means M for operating the conveying means, switching means 61, 62 and 63 for switching operating states of the conveying means by the power means by being switched between an on-state and an off-state in the operating state thereof, and a control means 120 for controlling the intensity of a driving signal of the switching means. The control means 120 controls the intensity of a driving signal so as to be smaller than those of driving signals of the switching means 61, 62 and 63 in starting after starting the switching means to turn the off-state to the on-state.
