<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiper device capable of reducing the size of a shock-absorbing space in a cowl. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Base-end sides of attaching leg portions 43 and a pivot supporting portion 44 are connected to an outer circumferential side of a motor fixing portion 41 of a motor bracket 40. The pivot supporting portion 44 is arranged between the respective attaching leg portions 43 so as to be oriented toward a circumferential direction of the motor fixing portion 41, while it is arranged toward a shaft direction of a DR side pivot shaft 17a and is spaced from the respective attaching leg portions 43. Consequently, the shock-absorbing space S where the DR side pivot shaft 17a can drop off can be formed between the pivot supporting portion 44 and respective attaching leg portions 43, and the shock-absorbing space in the cowl to which the wiper device is mounted can be reduced in size.
