<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of performing excellent image formation even in constitution where a plurality of imaging optical systems are arranged. <P>SOLUTION: A line head is equipped with: an imaging means having a first imaging optical system and a second imaging optical system; and a head substrate having a plurality of light emitting elements arranged at positions different from each other in a first direction corresponding to the first imaging optical system and a plurality of light emitting elements arranged at positions different from each other in the first direction corresponding to the second imaging optical system. At least two light emitting elements which are adjacent to each other positionally in the first direction out of the plurality of light emitting elements corresponding to the first imaging optical system are arranged at a first light emitting element pitch in the first direction, and at least two light emitting elements which are adjacent to each other positionally in the first direction out of the plurality of light emitting elements corresponding to the second imaging optical system are arranged at a second light emitting element pitch in the first direction, and the first light emitting element pitch and the second light emitting element pitch are different from each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
