<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low cost slag-removing material and a method for removing the slag by using this slag-removing material, wherein a work for removing the slag floated up on molten metal from a melting furnace for melting various kinds of metals at 1600-2200°C, a ladle, etc., without needing the addition of material, etc., for adjusting the melting point, is quickly, suitably, safely and further, efficiently performed. <P>SOLUTION: This invention relates to the slag-removing material which is used for removal of the slag floated up on the molten metal surface at 1600-2200°C, wherein the slag-removing material has heating foamability and the reducing quantity with the strong heating of the slag-removing material is 0.5-4 mass%, and the unit volume mass of the slag-removing material heating-foamed at 1100°C for 30 sec, is 0.05-0.30 kg/little, and the slag-removing material contains particles having predetermined distribution of grain diameter of≤5 mm and contains <5 mass% of paticles having grain diameter of >5 mm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
