<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washbasin where a washbasin molded from a synthetic resin can be simultaneously molded including an overflow hole and has a superior external appearance. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This washbasin is formed with a mount face part 2 on an upper edge part 12 of a bowl 1 having a drain outlet 11 at its base. The mount face part 2 is formed with a recessed groove part 3. The base part 31 of the recessed groove part 3 is opened to the inner surface of the bowl 1 via an upper edge notch part 13 formed on the upper edge part 12 of the bowl 1, and the overflow hole 4 penetrating downward is formed at the base part 31 of the recessed groove part 3. Preferably, a decorative cover 5 is detachably fitted in the recessed part 3 so that the surface of the decorative cover 5 and the mount face part 2 are substantially flush with each other, and a space part 6 is formed between the base part 31 of the recessed groove 3 and the decorative cover 5.
