<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an electric wire with a terminal fitting and the electric wire with the terminal fitting wherein moisture can be prevented from intruding into a connection part between a covered electric wire and the terminal fitting. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Core wires 22 of the covered electric wire 20 are inserted into a barrel part 31 of the terminal fitting 30 forming a cylindrical shape, and a caulking process of compressing and deforming the barrel part 31 is carried out to connect the electric covered wire 20 and the terminal fitting 30. Here, in this caulking process, the barrel part 31 is compressed and deformed so that the cylindrical shape remains at a part thereof. Then, afterwards, when a heat shrinking tube 40 is covered over between a cylindrically-shaped part of the barrel part 31 and the end part of an insulating cover 21 of the covered electric wire 20 and contracted, a shrinkable tube comes into close contact with the insulating cover 21 and the outer periphery of the cylindrically shaped part of the barrel part 31. By this, when the shrinkable tube is covered and contracted, a gap is not likely to be formed between a non-crimped part 33 of the barrel par 31 and the end part 40B of the heat shrinking tube 40, and moisture intrusion can be prevented.
