<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a railroad vehicle equipped with a cover opening/closing device for automatically opening/closing a coupler cover by arranging it outside a vehicle body. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The railroad vehicle 1 has a vehicle nose shape in which a coupler 50 is fixedly installed in a lead vehicle and a housing part 5 is projectedly formed to cover the coupler, and has the cover opening/closing device 10 equipped with a detachable coupler cover 11 constituting the distal end portion of the housing part 5; an open/close cylinder 16 for opening/closing the coupler cover 11; and link mechanisms 21, 22 and 23 connected between the coupler cover 11 and the open/close cylinder 16, and transmitting the power of the open/close cylinder 16 so that the coupler cover 11 is shifted above the housing part 5 and brought into its open state.
