<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheet processing device for preventing conveyance of a paper sheet from failing. <P>SOLUTION: A bill processing device includes: a bill insertion slot; a bill conveying mechanism for conveying a bill inserted from the bill insertion slot; a bill reading means 8 for reading the bill conveyed by the bill conveying mechanism; an authenticity determination means for determining the authenticity of the bill read by the bill reading means 8; a bill determination processing part 230 for determining a damage of the bill based on a shape of the bill in a read portion and a shape of a bill as a reference, before the bill reading means finishes reading the bill; and a control means 200 for controlling the conveyance of the bill by the bill conveying mechanism based on a determination result by the bill determination processing part 230. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
