<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a dense NaNbO<SB>3</SB>ceramic having piezoelectricity, stably showing high piezoelectric constant in wide range of Na/Nb ratio and having fine particle diameter. <P>SOLUTION: The piezoelectric ceramic has a composition of xNaO<SB>1/2</SB>-yNbO<SB>5/2</SB>-zCoO (where, x+y+z=1) in a composition range of 0.485≤x≤0.5, 0.49≤y≤0.514 and 0.001≤z≤0.02. In this way, the dense piezoelectric ceramic having the electromechanical coupling coefficient of ≥0.15 in the diameter directional vibration and the electromechanical coupling coefficient of ≥0.3 in the thickness directional vibration and fine particle diameter is obtained in a wide composition range. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
