PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wet image forming apparatus and a wet image forming method for preventing filming on a photoreceptor over a long period. SOLUTION: The wet image forming apparatus includes the photoreceptor, a charging device, a driving developing roller as a liquid developing device, and the wet image forming method uses the wet image forming apparatus. The image forming apparatus also includes a cleaning blade for cleaning toner remaining on the surface of the photoreceptor and a polishing device for polishing the surface of the photoreceptor.
