PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a high efficiency, low cost and size compactness in a ring type laser device having an optical amplifier. SOLUTION: The ring type laser device 10 includes: a ring type resonator structure which includes an optical gain medium including a VCSOA (vertical cavity surface optical amplifier) 11, an optical fiber 14 and a filter grating 12; and which uses an output of the VCSOA 11 as a feedback input.
