PURPOSE: A cooker and a method for controlling the same are provided to cook food based on the cooking temperature which is set up in advance by being equipped with a plurality of heating sources. CONSTITUTION: A cooker comprises a plurality of heating sources, an input unit(60), and a controller(70). The heating source heats the food in a cavity(1). The input unit is inputted with the number of the heating sources driving for heating food in the cavity and the driving temperature of the heating source. The controller controls the heating source to be driven at the preset driving temperature when the actuating time of the heating source driving at the driving temperature passes the preset standard time. The preset driving temperature is set up as 70% of the maximum driving temperature of the heating source. The standard time set up as 10 minute unit.
