<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a force that depresses an elastic contact piece, thereby reducing an operating force upon fitting connectors together. <P>SOLUTION: The short circuit terminal 1 includes a male connector 30 having an open rib 35, and a female connector 10 having a fittable subconnector 11 and a female terminal metal fixture 20 housed in the subconnector 11. The short circuit terminal 1 puts adjacent female terminal metal fixtures 20 in a state of short circuit before fitting together both connectors 10 and 30 but releases the female terminal metal fixtures 20 from the state of short circuit when the open rib 35 is forced in between the female terminal metal fixtures 20 as a result of fitting both connectors 10 and 30 together. The short circuit terminal 1 may include: a longitudinally extending elastic contact piece 3 having a rear-end side as a base end 3A and a front-end side elastically displacing vertically; and an open portin 3D formed on the elastic contact piece 3, the open portion 3D being formed in front of a point of contact 3B with the female terminal metal fixtures 20 to come into contact faster with the open rib 35 than the point of contact 3B to first cause the elastic contact piece 3 to displace when both connectors 10 and 30 are fitted together. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
