摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic transfer method by which noise caused by an underlayer can be effectively reduced, the output value of a reproducing signal is increased, variation of a waveform width is decreased and satisfactory signal quality can be obtained. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The magnetic transfer method includes: an initial magnetization step; and an adhesion step for superposing a master carrier for magnetic transfer having a transfer part in which a magnetic layer corresponding to magnetic information and having perpendicular magnetic anisotropy is formed and a non-transfer part having a recessed shape lower relatively to the transfer part and having ≤500 emu/cc residual magnetization Mr and ≥900 emu/cc saturation magnetization on a perpendicular magnetic recording medium after an initial magnetization cleaning step to make the perpendicular magnetic recording medium and a rugged pattern to closely adhere to each other and a transfer step.
