<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the quality of the cut part of a corrugated fiberboard web by finding an optimum engagement point between a receiving roll and a slitter blade and easily realize the setting of the slitter blade at the engagement point by a simple and inexpensive mechanism in a slitter. <P>SOLUTION: The center O<SB>1</SB>of the slitter blade 26 is placed further on the downstream side in the corrugated fiberboard running direction than the center O<SB>2</SB>of the receiving roll 27. The slitter blade 26 and the receiving roll 27 are so rotated that the outer peripheral surfaces thereof move in the same direction as the running direction b of the corrugated fiberboard web W. Beams l, f are laterally emitted ion the corrugated fiberboard web W to pass the contact position of the outer peripheral surface of the receiving roll on the corrugated fiberboard web W. The slitter blade 26 is moved close to the receiving roll 27 side.
