<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting work method by an automatic cutting plotter preventing increase in a difference of a hole diameter between front and back sides even when cutting a thick sheet along a circle with a small diameter or along an arc with a small diameter, and the automatic cutting plotter used for the cutting work. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In this method for cutting a hole with a small diameter or an arc with a small diameter by using the automatic cutting plotter, when fixing a cutting edge 10 to an attachment, the cutting edge 10 is mounted and offset to a rear side in the advancing direction from a rotating shaft J so that an intersection point X between an cutting edge part 14 of the cutting edge 10 extended upwardly slantedly toward the advancing direction and the rotating shaft J of the attachment is positioned at height half of the thickness of a belt (sheet) 13. In this state, while rotated so that the cutting edge part 14 of the cutting edge 10 faces the advancing direction all the time, the attachment is moved along a predetermined circle, to perform the cutting work.
