<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner that cleans a surface to be cleaned by cleaning operation using a vacuum cleaner and also removes dust stuck to a dust separation section. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The cleaner body 2 of the vacuum cleaner 1 is equipped with: a connection duct part 11 provided with a connection port 2a; a first separation chamber 13 of a cluster separation chamber 12 communicating with the connection duct part 11; an electric blower 9 communicating with the first separation chamber 13; an exhaust air passage 14 to which exhaust air of the electric blower 9 is discharged; a second separation chamber 15 of the cluster separation chamber 12 communicating with the exhaust air passage 14; a dust collection part 17 communicating with the second separation chamber 15; and a switching mechanism 18 for switching each position of the first and second separation chambers 13 and 15.
