PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid capacitor which can be charged and discharged at high output and has a high energy density. SOLUTION: The negative electrode of a hybrid capacitor consists of a carbon material which has a degree of graphitization P<SB>1</SB>determined from a 11-diffraction line intensity in a range of 0.3≤P<SB>1</SB>≤0.8 by using a CuKαbeam. The thickness Lc (004) of the crystallite of this carbon material is 10-80 nm in the direction of c-axis, and the thickness La (110) of the crystallite may be 10-190 nm in the direction of a-axis. Furthermore, the carbon material may be produced by baking a bridged carbon precursor at 1,700-2,500°C. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
