PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch switch detection device capable of adequately determining whether detection of a touch switch is caused by operation by a human or adhering of a water droplet, and to provide a water supply apparatus using the same. SOLUTION: This touch switch detection device comprises a touch detection electrode for detecting a change of an electrostatic capacitance due to approach or contact of an object, a detection section for outputting a detection output influenced by the change of the electrostatic capacitance, and an operation determination section for determining presence or absence of operation of a user on the basis of the detection output. The operation determination section includes an object determination section for preliminarily determining the object on the basis of whether or not a change rate of the detection output at starting of detection is not greater than an object determination value, and a touch determination section for determining touch of the user on the basis of whether or not the detection output is not smaller than a detection threshold. The operation determination section sets the detection threshold in accordance with the result of the preliminary determination of the object determination section and determines presence or absence of the operation of the user on the basis of whether or not the detection output is not smaller than the detection threshold.
