The evacuation sign (5) e.g. emergency light (3), has a battery for supplying power to the sign, where the emergency light is attached to a mixed mode electric strand with standard signal effect. The signal effect is amplified by additional signals (7). A laser diode (13) e.g. green laser, projects a character as a guideline, and a LED (17) operates during failure of general lighting of the sign. An acoustic signal generator e.g. electrodynamic loudspeaker, transmits colloquial safety instructions. The LED flashably illuminates during increased endangerment of the sign.
