<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a browsing terminal and a browsing terminal control program for saving power by suppressing the maximum power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: When an input operation to rewrite the display content is performed in a power saving mode (S11:YES), a display control part and a nonvolatile display part are turned on (S15), control is performed for rewriting the display content (S17), and the display control part and the nonvolatile display part are turned off (S19). When data on the page next to the current page is not yet acquired, whether it is necessary to acquire the data in advance from an external terminal is determined (S21). When determined that it is necessary to acquire the data (S25: YES), a communication part is turned on to perform communication with the external terminal and acquires the data on the next page (S33).
