A rolling lobe airspring 10 of the type embodying a tubular flexible member 12 of substantially uniform thickness throughout its length and circumference includes a modified piston 20. The piston includes a circumferential recess 26 near its end 28 which is secured to the flexible member 12. The end 25 of the flexible member 12 lies in the piston recess 26, which is of a depth corresponding to the thickness of the flexible member 12.
