<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switch which achieves a high waterproofness with a simple structure as a switch installed on equipment having a waterproof case. <P>SOLUTION: A dive computer 1 is contained in a case 2 having waterproofness and includes a liquid crystal display panel 11 to display various information and a contact switch 4 capable of operation from the outside of a case 2. The contact switch 4 includes a dielectric layer 42 consisting of impermeable dielectric installed exposed on the surface of the case 2, a plurality of electrodes 43 embedded under the dielectric layer 42, and an insulating member arranged between the plurality of neighboring electrodes 43.
