<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for estimating the angle of roll in non-execution of vehicle height adjustment. <P>SOLUTION: A first and a second angles of roll and a first and a second roll moments by a right and a left suspensions are computed based on each of displacements and each of inner pressure values measured in each of any two different time points between the time a certain time before starting vehicle height adjustment to the time a certain time after concluding the vehicle height adjustment of the right and the left suspensions, and the roll stiffness coefficient specific to the vehicle equipped with the suspension is computed based on the angle of roll and the roll moment. In a plurality of displacement characteristics predetermined by using the inner pressure value exhibited by the suspension, as a parameter, a displacement characteristic corresponding to the measured inner pressure average value of the right and left suspensions is selected as a common displacement characteristic of the right and the left suspensions in non-execution of vehicle height adjustment. The angle of roll in non-execution of vehicle height adjustment is found based on the second roll angle and the second roll moment, the roll stiffness coefficient and the selected displacement characteristic. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
