<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for industrially producing an optically active fluoroamine compound. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the optically active fluoroamine compound comprises dehydration-condensing an optically active hydroxyamine compound with an aldehyde compound to obtain a protected optically active hydroxylamine compound (imine compound, oxazoline compound or their mixture), reacting the protected optically active hydroxylamine compound with sulfuryl fluoride (SO<SB>2</SB>F<SB>2</SB>) in the presence of a 7 to 18C tertiary amine compound to obtain a protected optically active fluoroamine compound, and finally hydrolyzing the protected optically active fluoroamine compound under acidic conditions to produce the optically active fluoroamine compound.
