PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt joining jig which enhances the fix-holding force of a belt, and thereby does not require an excessive space, and by which fixing or releasing work can easily be performed. SOLUTION: This jig 10 is has a lower form 11 and an upper form 17. The lower form 11 has a recessed groove 12 in which ends of belts to be jointed are mounted in a state that their both end surfaces are abutted on each other. The upper form is fitted in the recessed groove 12 of the lower form and presses the ends of the belts. On the groove bottom surface of the lower form 11 and/or the lower surface of the upper form 17, a plurality of needle-like protuberances 13 which fasten surfaces of the belts are installed, or a roughened surface tape such as a sandpaper is pasted.
