PURPOSE: A transmission device, a transmission method, and a program are provided to improve TCP/IP(Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) communication speed by reducing a process in the TCP/IP communication. CONSTITUTION: A transmission device(11) includes a receiver, an ACK storage unit(24), and a TCP/IP processor(22). The receiver receives the ACK(Acknowledgement) packet transmitted from the receiving device in response to the transmission data item. The ACK storage unit stores the latest ACK packet among the ACK packets. The TCP/IP processor processes the reception of the ACK packet according to the latest ACK packet supplied in a preset timing from the ACK storage unit. |
