The cylinder (1) has a circumferential-variable part made of fiber composite material exhibiting a direction dependent material component and an actuator i.e. ring actuator. The circumferential-variable part has a body that is made of a shape memory material, where diameters of the cylinder changes during loading of the cylinder with an extent-variable part or during deformation of the actuator or the body. The circumferential-variable part consists of a material selected from one of a group consisting of plastic, coal, glass, aramid, basalt and natural fibers.
