<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base station apparatus which satisfies both cost reduction at the time of construction and securement of the degree of freedom in layout of equipment. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A digital section 10 and a wireless section 11 are connected through Ethernet (R) by providing UTP driver/receivers 23 and 38, respectively, in the digital section 10 and wireless section 11. Consequently, over-specification in optical fiber transmission system can be eliminated effectively and transmission performance can be optimized according to actual operation.
