Disclosed is a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compound represented by formula (I) (wherein R1 and R2 independently represent a hydrogen atom, a C1-20 alkyl group or the like, or alternatively R1 and R2 may combine together to form an unsubstituted or substituted 5-8 membered ring; R3-R6 independently represent a hydrogen atom, a C1-20 alkyl group or the like, or alternatively R4 and R5 or R5 and R6 may combine together to form an unsubstituted or substituted 5-8 membered ring; X represents a halogen atom or the like; n represents an integer of 0-4; and Z represents an oxygen atom or the like) and/or a salt thereof. Also disclosed is a bactericide for agricultural and horticultural use, which contains at least one of the nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compounds or the salts thereof as an active ingredient.
