<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a range where detection light ray does not pass (nondetection area) in detecting obstacle and the like to perform detection close to plane detection. <P>SOLUTION: This safety device of an electric stove comprises a plurality of light emitting elements disposed at one side of an opening formed on a body front face, in adjacent to the opening in the vertical direction or the horizontal direction, a plurality of light receiving elements disposed at the other side of the opening in adjacent to the opening in the vertical direction or the horizontal direction, a light emitting element time lag lighting control device for controlling time lag lighting to the plurality of light emitting elements, a failure discriminating device controlled by the light emitting element time lag lighting control device to selectively make the plurality of light receiving elements effective, and discriminating the existence or nonexistence of light receiving element effective detection for discriminating the existence or nonexistence of the detection light ray from the corresponding light emitting element with respect to the selected light receiving element, and a heating element control switching device for cutting off a power source to the heating element when the failure discriminating device discriminates the nonexistence of the detection light ray. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
