<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio frequency channel selecting method which hardly influenced by interference radio waves in a train radio communication system. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Respective base stations disposed along a track transmit a pilot signal frame by frequency channels different from the ones of the adjacent base stations in a channel search period prior to an outgoing message transmission period addressed to a train. A front terminal and a rear terminal loaded on a train search the transmission frequency channel of the pilot signal frame in the channel search period, detect a first frequency channel in which the reception intensity is the maximum, and a second frequency channel in which the reception intensity is the second, and receive an outgoing message through different base stations, by selecting mutually different frequency channels while traveling through a base station boundary region where both first and second frequency channels are detected.
