PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sample frame which eases the closure of two or more sample vessels having two or more retainers, especially sample tubes, and sample vessels having respective caps. SOLUTION: Each sample vessel 41, 42 of the sample frames 30, 81 have caps 43, 44 which are put over the open end of the sample vessels 41, 42. The sample frames 30, 81 have a removable cover plate 8, whose bottom side faces toward the caps 43, 44 of the sample vessels 41, 42 in the put-on state of the cover plate 8. The cover plate 8 has approximately funnel-shaped depressions 11, 71 on the top side for each retainer. A penetration opening 57 is provided in the center of the depression through the cover plate 8. The penetration opening 57 is concentric with the drilled holes 53, 54 of the caps 43, 44 of the sample vessel 41, 42 retained underneath when the cover plate 8 is put on.
