IRON TIP FOR SOLDERING IRON AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an iron tip composed of a sintered compact integrated seamlessly between an iron tip body made of copper and an iron tip point made of copper-ferroalloy. SOLUTION: The iron tip 1 is composed of an iron tip body 2 made of copper for the purpose of heat accumulation and heat transfer, an iron tip point 3 made of copper-ferroalloy for the purpose of forming a wetting face, and a joined part 4 interposed between the iron tip body 2 and the iron tip point 3. The joined part 4 has a form of a sintered compact for which copper powder 4a is press-molded and sintered at a temperature at or below the melting point of copper. As a result, the iron tip body 2 and the iron tip point 3 are integrated through the joined part 4 by diffusion welding during the sintering. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
