PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance convenience in the history of destinations and an operability of a navigation device. SOLUTION: A navigation system includes a history record setting and processing means for setting whether to record the history of destinations with respect to each genre, a candidate searching and processing means to search a candidate of a spot based on the input items selected by an operator, a history record setting, determining, and processing means to determine setting state of the record of the history with regard to the genre to which the searched spot belongs, and a history recording and processing means to record the history of destinations with regard to the genre to which the searched spot belongs if the record of histories is set effective with regard to the searched spot. If the record of histories is set effective with regard to the searched spot, the history of destinations is recorded.
