PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize fixation strength of a bump cap to the outer periphery of a damper tube. SOLUTION: In this bump cap 70 of a hydraulic shock absorber, a piston rod 13 of the damper tube 11 is laid by being pressed in a projecting end part. A hollow press-in projection part 73 brought into pressure contact with the outer periphery of the damper tube 11 with an interference, is projected in a plurality of respective positions in the peripheral direction of the inner periphery of a cylindrical part 72 laid on the outer periphery of the damper tube 11.
