<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus for direct printing capable of outputting a printing image at an appropriate resolution by setting the proper resolution by the image forming apparatus itself. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 1 comprises a storage 120 having a developing area for developing a PDF document to be printed by request from a terminal 2 into a print image to be outputted to a printer 190 of the image forming apparatus 1 and a developing means 40 for developing the PDF document to the print image at a designated resolution. When the developing means 40 cannot develop the PDF document into the print image at a designated resolution, the developing means 40 changes the first designated resolution into a lower one to develop the PDF document into the print image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
