PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens driving device of simply structured, miniaturizable, and high in position detecting accuracy, a camera, and a cellular phone with the camera. SOLUTION: In the lens driving device 1, respective magnetism scales 57 are fixed to a casing body 13 with different magnetic poles disposed alternately along the movement direction of a facing MR sensor 59, the respective MR sensors 59 are connected to a flexible substrate (flexible cable) 60, the flexible substrate 60 is arranged along the insidewall face of the casing body 13 and curved toward the inside of the casing body 13 to attach the MR sensor 59 at the chip part 37.
