PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an osteopathic instrument having a very simply structured height position adjusting means for support members of a sliding or seesawing treatment bar. SOLUTION: The height position adjusting means includes a holder arranged across a pair of supports forming at least a part of a frame, a pair of rocking members movably held on the holder in a state of moving forward and backward from the corresponding supports through a wedge action space, and a wedgelike member upward and downward movably arranged in the wedge action space and having an operating rod upward and downward projecting the holder. Many small irregularities engaging with each other are provided in the supports and the facing sides of the locking members facing the supports. The rocking members are structured so as to advance to be in contact with the corresponding support when the wedgelike member comes down and to retreat and leave the corresponding support when the wedgelike member rises.
