<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a membrane filtration apparatus allowing simple detachment of a hollow fiber membrane element by providing a groove on a water collecting cap of the hollow fiber membrane element formed by bundling hollow fiber membranes for facilitating fitting with an element support, and fitting it to beams of the element support. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The hollow fiber membrane element with the water collecting cap 20 having a water collection port and the groove connected liquid-tightly to the bundle of the hollow fiber membranes, is locked to a frame 60 having a support plate 65 fit to the groove. The support plate 65 has an opening for inserting the water collection cap and fixing it by rotating the hollow fiber membrane element, allowing easy detachment and firm fixation.
